About Our Local Office

The Bakersfield Office of Right at Home is a locally owned and operated franchise office of Right at Home Inc., a senior home care and staffing company providing care since 1995. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do that by providing high quality in-home caregivers to serve you.

This office is owned by Independence at Home, Inc., founded by David and Terri Mazone, and was established to assist people in our communities with the challenging issues facing their families and friends.

David and Terri have lived in Kern County since 1989.  They have three children, Clinton, Dustin, and Hayden - yes, all boys!  Over the course of three decades, Dave and Terri have prepared for an opportunity such as this - to add value to the lives of others and help seniors remain in their homes.

We are blessed also to have added to our administrative staff: Debra Leavelle, our V.P. & Director of Business Development.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and love to our services.  Her experience in hospital administration and business development add greatly to her effectiveness in the services we provide you.

Our field staff of Caregivers and Personal Care Assistants have all been equally selected with great care.  All of our field staff are run through an extensive background check, including criminal records, DMV records, and abuse registries.  We additionally are bonded, licensed, and insured for your protection.
